Kansas narcotics investigation nets five arrestsA nine-month drug investigation in northern Shawnee County, Kansas ended Tuesday as authorities made five arrests and seized drugs, weapons and cash.
During seven raids, officers seized 152 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $152,000, trace amounts of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia associated with the manufacture of meth, eight guns and $1,500 in cash.
Arlie Price Jr., 54, was arrested in connection with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy and failure to pay the state drug tax stamp.
James M. Reisinger, 39, was arrested in connection with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
James E. Hester, 53, was arrested in connection with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia associated with the manufacturing of meth.
Brent A. Foster, 40, was arrested in connection with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Cindia Cott, 36, was arrested in connection with two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
Kansas officers searched seven addresses -- 4923 N.E. Indian Creek Road, 1939 N.W. 78th, 1105 N.E. 35th, 1137 N.E. 35th, 2235 N.W. 78th, 3935 N.W. 25th and 3045 N.W. Button Road No. 156.
A 4-year-old child found at 1105 N.E. 35th was taken into protective custody.
The investigation was conducted by the Shawnee County, Kansas Sheriff's Office, Topeka Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Jackson and Osage county, Kansas sheriffs' departments.
